Importance of decision making-


Practically reports play a major role among the communication systems. Without the help of communicative systems no business can run because, communication is vital issue to every part of today’s business organization. A large number of important decisions in business, industry or government are taken on the basis of information presented or recommendations made in reports. Not only that a commission / committee, a study group or a panel is required to present its findings / recommendations in the form of a report. For the running an industry/ firm/ business effectively the skill of report writing is as necessary as good equipment & quality raw materials. Why Study Business Report Writing? It may be answered from the two points of view i.e. from the business points of view & from the personal point of view. These are discussed below as the importance of report writing; 
1.        Decision-Making: A report is a basic tool of management, which is used to take the decision making for an
organization. Regarding this it is more important.
2.        Co-relationship:   A reporting system creates the relationship between proprietors & related persons. This is one of the major functions of reporting systems on the organization.
3.        Spot Decision: To take the spot decision reporting system is very much helpful for the organization immediately. Related persons are capable of taking initiative on the basis of the various reports.
4.        Long -term Plan: To take the long-term plan, reporting systems plays a vital role for an organization. Because, without the help of reporting systems, any plan would not come to light.
5.        Departmental Information: All the information is collected from the different departments through the reporting systems. So to know the departmental position it is needed.
6.        Conventional Formation: A report is prepared based on conventional form to meet up specific needs for the firms to fulfill the goals.
Finally, a report carries information from someone who has it to someone who needs it. A reporting system is a basic managerial activity, which is used for the decision-making for the organization..
